Where Presence
Becomes Progress
It is easy to get caught in the momentum of "what’s next" or the weight of "what was." I invite you into a different kind of conversation—one where we slow down enough to hear what you truly need today.
At Be Present Therapy, I believe that where presence becomes progress, healing naturally follows. By focusing on the here and now, we bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be—building a foundation for lasting healing.
Meet Eddie Smith, LMFT
Hi, I’m Eddie
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of supporting my community across diverse clinical landscapes—from schools and community agencies to private group practice. These experiences with youth, adults, and couples have reinforced one central truth: meaningful progress begins with presence.
I recognize that the decision to begin therapy requires significant courage. My role is to provide a grounded, professional space that honors that courage—offering you a steady environment where you can move from feeling overwhelmed to feeling rooted and capable of healing.
My approach is rooted in the belief that a deep sense of trust and connection is the foundation for meaningful change. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, grief, or the weight of a major life transition, I am here to meet you exactly where you are today with grounded, clinical intention. Our work together is a transparent and collaborative process where I integrate evidence-based tools like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy within a safe, trauma-informed space. By focusing on being present in the "here and now," we can gain the clarity needed to honor your past while moving toward the future with a renewed sense of progress and purpose.
If this resonates with you, I invite you to connect for a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation. Together, we can begin to understand what you’re navigating and whether this space feels like the right fit for you.
On A Personal Note
Outside of the therapy room, I strive to practice the same mindfulness and presence we cultivate in our sessions. You can usually find me outdoors, making the most of the natural beauty our community offers. Whether I’m backpacking, camping, or mountain biking, I find my greatest sense of “being present” when I’m exploring with my wife and our dog, Winston.
At home, I enjoy spinning my favorite vinyl, playing guitar or bass, and when I have the opportunity, attending live concerts. I also have a love for coffee and travel, as I appreciate the perspective that comes from exploring new places. These moments—both at home and in nature—serve as a reminder of the value of staying rooted in the here and now.

Presence As A Path
Cultivating a Rooted Presence
I believe that enduring change is rooted in a grounded connection to yourself and your experience. By providing a reliable and compassionate space, I create the essential stability needed for you to feel fully heard. A sense of psychological safety can gently shift your perspective, helping you move away from self-criticism and into a more curious, compassionate exploration of your journey.
The Path of Progress
In this steady space, presence becomes progress. Beyond the insights gained in our sessions, I focus on the integration of that awareness into your daily life. Healing is a consistent, quiet process of showing up for yourself. I help you turn those intentional moments of clarity into the lasting, meaningful change you are seeking.
I look forward to walking this path with you.
